Salman to join Himesh for Damadamm success party
When Salman Khan returns to India after the overseas shoot of Ek Tha Tiger is through, he has a party waiting for him in Mumbai. Himesh Reshammiya, who is on cloud nine with Damadamm recovering its cost and now en route to making profits, has planned a success party for the film. Though it may just be apt for Himesh to schedule the event now, he is waiting for Salman to be back as he doesn't wish to celebrate without him.
Says a source close to Himesh, "Yes, Himesh is indeed ecstatic with response to Damadamm and is now throwing a party. He has sounded his team that they would have to wait for a while though before the party takes place since Salman is currently out and his presence is a must. He feels that 'bhai' is not only his mentor and brother but also his lucky charm. Even earlier he had given as many as 12 chartbuster albums with Salman and when he decided to return to composing, he chose Bodyguard. That album turned out to be a good success as well, hence initiating yet another winning run with Damadamm fetching him good appreciation.
"One can well see Himesh continuing his personal relationship with Salman's family as well, what with a special trial show being hosted for Atul Agnihotri, Alvira Agnihotri and Sangeeta Bijlani.
"Now it's going to be party time", the source continues, "Along with Salman, the entire Khan family including Salim uncle are also being sent invitations. It is going to be one of the most talked about success parties ever."

Sajid Nadiadwala sets up lounge worth Rs. 25 lakhs for Housefull 2

Sajid
Sajid Nadiadwala sets up lounge worth Rs. 25 lakhs for Housefull 2
Housefull 2 is making sure that it lives up to its title. Since the film requires over a dozen top actors to be shooting practically every day, makers Sajid Nadiadwala and Sajid Khan wanted to ensure that it indeed turns out to be a family affair. To facilitate that, they went ahead and created a lounge right next to the film's sets that allowed all actors to be together for most of the time and get better accustomed to each other. Though this makeshift lounge cost Nadiadwala a bomb, he isn't complaining.
"Yes, Sajid has actually hired an entire floor at Filmistan Studios (Mumbai) that has a seating capacity of over 20 people", says one of the actors, "It is a fully furnished and very tastefully designed lounge that acts as a dining area, resting place, game centre and not to mention, gossip corner as well. It has all the facilities that are typically available in a five star lounge. Right from the multi-cuisine menu to LEDs to refrigerators to air conditioners as well as reclining sofas - everything is on the house.
"Though makers aren't going on record yet, the production team informs that making the lounge cost Nadiadwala an added bill of Rs.25 lakhs.
"He doesn't mind that though since it has always been his endeavour to build personal relationships with the team that he works with", says an associate, "He wants to inculcate the same traits in his actors as well. Though Akshay, John and Riteish have worked with each other earlier, Shreyas is new. Moreover most of the girls - Asin, Jacqueline Zarine, Shazahn - are new and working together for the first time. He also wants that veterans like Rishi Kapoor, Mithun Chakraborty and Randhir Kapoor are well taken care of. Hence, he has built a mini-house of sorts for Housefull 2.
"When contacted, Sajid Khan said, "It has been a different experience for all cast members as well as myself to be co-located even though we are shooting on the sets and have our own vanity vans. Last fortnight when India-England cricket matches were on, it was fun to have everyone together and cheering as our team clean swept the series. Sajid (Nadiadwala) is very innovative when it comes to making his team comfortable and this lounge setup is yet another example of that.
"What also helps the makers further is the fact that instead of cast members retiring to their vanity van after delivering their shot, they assemble in the lounge which ensures that the next call can be coordinated in a far easier manner. "Housefull 2 has a huge cast and in the current schedule quite a few actors are required in a single frame. It helps if everyone is together at one place. However, there is enough room for all to be comfortable instead of feeling claustrophobic", concludes Sajid Nadiadwala.

Sridevi turns New York unit of English Vinglish to ‘organic’ food

Sridevi turns New York unit of English Vinglish to 'organic' food
From the time she was a filled-out voluptuous screen siren in Himmatwala and Tohfa to the reed-thin diva shooting in the chilling winds of Central Park in New York earlier this week, Sridevi sure has come a long way.
Apparently, the reticent diva who is shooting for her first post-marriage film English Vinglish in New York has converted the entire cast and crew to organic food.
Says a source, "Sridevi is heavily into health food. She doesn't even touch anything fried oily or even cooked. She is completely into natural food. She was earlier crazy about South Indian food and couldn't do without her rice-rasam meals.
"It was Boney Kapoor's recent health scare that converted Sridevi into a health-food fanatic. Apparently, Sri turned to organic food so that her husband too would start eating healthy after hospitalization.
And now she has converted the entire cast and crew of English Vinglish to organic food. Says a source from New York, "The unit consists of people from all over the world. There are people from Japan, China, Taiwan and Korea. They've all converted to organic food because of Sridevi.
"The director Gauri Shinde's husband the film's producer R Balki confirmed, "It's an organic film. Everybody is eating only organic food. Sridevi is a salad woman. Organic to the core. Whether it's her acting or her diet, they are both fully natural."

Rockstar gets U/A certificate from censor board
Imtiaz Ali's film Rockstar, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri, has been making waves as it's nearing the release date (Nov 11). The film has received U/A censor certification from the censor board.
Rockstar, which shows the story of a small town boy rising up to become the epitome of stardom, contains certain expletives in English and Hindi which have been beeped. Apparently, the changes ordered by the censor board included muting the words 'sex' and 'bastard' in the film along with a Hindi expletive mouthed often by Ranbir's character in the film.
Besides the muting of the explicit words, the censor board also objected to a certain scene in the film which deals with Sino- Tibetan political scenario. The scene in question features a flag that reads 'Free Tibet', which the censors have asked the filmmakers to blur or totally do away with. Reportedly, the producers have decided to do away with the flag. The official confirmation on this is awaited.

Vivek does a full Monty in Gyarah Chalis Ki Last Metro

Vivek
Vivek does a full Monty in Gyarah Chalis Ki Last Metro
Seems like replacing Abhay Deol with Vivek Oberoi is already paying rich dividends for the makers of Gyarah Chalis Ki Last Metro, which would be directed by Sanjay Khanduri and produced by Amit Chandra of Invincible Entertainment.
The actor has been winning the crew's hearts with his passion and dedication for his work. One such incident has been disclosed to us by a source close to the production team, apparently one of the crucial and hilarious scenes in the film require the protagonist to strip down to his boxers to save his life. Not only that, even the boxers will end up being ripped out and the character will end up revealing considerable amount of skin.
Moreover, the scene will be shot in the midst of college going students in a Delhi Hostel, and not on a set with actors. This is unlike many other films where there is only a limited crew allowed on set for scenes like these as they might make an actor uncomfortable to perform.
Before narrating the above said scene to Vivek, director Sanjay Khanduri was of the opinion that Vivek might be uneasy enacting the required scenes so he decided to use a body double and make do with cheat shots. However Sanjay was taken aback when Vivek refused the body double and insisted on performing the scene himself. The source also adds that Sanjay also had a scene in the first film where Abhay went topless, but it took a lot of convincing to persuade Abhay to do the scene and he could only manage to convince the lead for a lip lock, hence Sanjay was skeptical about the stripping scene on account of his past experience and felt that Vivek would also object to baring it all for this scene in this film.
Much to the delight of the director, Vivek not only agreed to go by the script but is also willing to shed all the bulk that he had put on for Zilla Ghaziabad and get a lean look to fit his role in the film. The director who had heard a lot about Vivek's sincerity and dedicated approach towards his work was highly impressed by the actor when he realized that he was not only willing to do 'compromising' scenes without any hesitation but also was ready to shed weight at the earliest since the film goes on floor soon.
